Introduction: A message thread is a series of messages that was triggered by a question someone submitted to an on-line forum. Despite the prevalence in these messages of biased opinions, one-sided viewpoints, and allegations of fact which in reality are false or seriously misleading, they often give you a valuable perspective because they are not the official views of some organization, and they are not coming from any 'guide book' or web site prepared with an eye to book sales or resort promotion. Moreover, for biased, opinionated and misleading commentary, many articles written by media journalists have little in validity over a collection of varied opinions in a message thread. Use message threads to add the opinion dimension to the information you use to make travel decisions. Forums are also useful in making contacts with knowledgeable people who can give you their time and knowledge without worrying about whether they sell you anything.
